چکیده
Purpose: It is unknown how use and outcome of laparoscopic liver resection (LLR) compare between high-volume centres (HV) low-medium volume (LMV). This study aimed to LLR according surgical difficulty in three leading European HV twenty Dutch LMV. Method: An international, retrospective multicentre cohort including data from LMV January 2011 December 2016. are defined by performing >50 annually. Patients were retrospectively stratified into low-, moderate- high-risk Southampton strata. Results: 2425 patients included (1540 HV; 885 LMV). The annual was higher than (42.9% versus 7.2%). experienced fewer conversions (7.4 13.1%; P<0.001) less intraoperative incidents (9.3% 14.6%; P=0.002) compared Whereas morbidity mortality rates similar, intervention rate (5.1% 7.2%; P=0.034) postoperative hospital stay (3 5 days; lower Per score stratum, the conversion HV. similar low-risk however moderate-risk strata (absolute difference 6.7% 14.2%; P<0.004). Conclusion: had a sixfold LLR, conversions, shorter stay, as nationwide Stratification scores identified some differences but largely outcomes appeared better for each risk group.

Outcomes of Cryoballoon Ablation in High- and Low-Volume Atrial Fibrillation Ablation Centres: A Russian Pilot Survey
PURPOSE The results of cryoballoon ablation (CBA) procedure have been mainly derived from studies conducted in experienced atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation centres. Here, we report on CBA efficacy and complications resulting from real practice of this procedure at both high- and low-volume centres. METHODS Among 62 Russian centres performing AF ablation, 15 (24%) used CBA technology for pulm...
